Ole Miss goes from Cotton and tons of momentum to Independence? All other predictions have them in preseason top 12 with them losing so little.

Hahaha wow, well I dont know about any of the other conferences but the Pac-10 predictions look realllllly bad.

1st, Why would Cal be in the Rose Bowl?? Oregon is looking much better for next season at this point,

2nd, HAHAHAHAHA at stanford taking 4th place over OSU or Arizona, Stanford will get a bowl next year, but they arent going to finish in the top tier in the p10

    Heres my predictions

USC: Fiesta, Rose, or National Title
    Oregon: Fiesta or Rose
    California: Holiday
    Arizona: Sun
Oregon State: Las Vegas (Due to no repeat clause in the Sun)
    Stanford: Emerald
    Arizona State: Poinsettia
UCLA: Maybe Hawaii (dont see them getting above .500 though, outside shot ill say)

  6. lwhite Said,

Oregon ended the season well but they lose a lot to graduation, including Jeremiah Johnson, Jaison Williams and the entire offensive line. They also lose 6 defensive starters. They do have a favorable schedule but those losses are a lot to overcome.

I believe Ole Miss will go to the SEC Championship Game to play Florida. Now Ole Miss has a great team and chance for the National Championship or at least the Sugar Bowl. And we also have 17 or 18 starters left.My prediction for the Natinal Championship Game is Ole Miss/ Florida v.s. Texas

Cal has the best back in the nation, a good player at receiver and a tough defense. if Riley can mature enough to make smart decisions, why can’t we beat Usc and go to the Rose bowl? who else poses a real threat to Usc? Oregon? Oregon State? ASU? come on people sit down and think for a second.

Sorry, man. There is no way that Minnesota is going to go to a BCS game over Ohio State. We may be loosing a lot of players, but with Terrelle Pryor coming back as a better passer, look for OSU to go to another BCS game.

there is no way USC will make the Championship this year.

    at ohio State
    at Cal
    at Oregon
    at Arizona St.

They lose atleast one of those game probably 2.
Pac 10 beats eachother up every year.
    new Quarter back also.

Oregon will be at the top. They get USC and CAL at home.

so why does everyone think usc is going to the championship? did y’all forget they dont have sanchez? do y’all (or “you guys” for the yankees) think that usc is really that good? they are the most overrated team in college history, well them & ohio. i’ll go for florida returning, only because tebow is like a greek god on the field! and thats only if florida beats lsu or bama in the sec championship. but usc….hell no! my educated guess would either oklahoma or texas vs. lsu or alabama! “and thats the real deal”

  29. Elijah Said,

this is not 2008. Oregon lost their FRICKING COACH, they will suck next season. Cal has have been building up a beastly offensive line as well as a stable at running back lead by the Best RB in the country. They will blow through the Pac10 this year as will SC (especially after a win at the shoe) and the winner will go to the Natty while the loser goes to the Rose Bowl. Also, USC is not overrated, u seriously never watch college football if u say that. There is a reason they crush their opponent every single year in the rose bowl, and there is a reason they have so many players go in the 1st round.

My question would be why the heck FSU and Minnesota are in BCS games.

Although I don’t believe Minnesota will be in a BCS game, they have a very good shot at being a very good team this year and surprising a lot of people. Maybe its Brewster’s constant optimism wearing off on me, but they do have a shot at a 10 win season.

While I agree that Minn and Cal will be much better and could both make new year’s day games they will not be paired together in a BCS game because of the fact they play each other earlier in the season. The BCS would try to avoid the repeat game.

I find these projections curious at best. Minnesota vs. Cal in the Rose Bowl? As a Gopher fan, I’d love to see that. But right now, what I would really like is some sort of analysis. Minnesota is a surprising pick for the Rose Bowl, and I would like to know WHY you think that.

i think baylor is going to make to a bowl game this year..don’t forget they have the qb robert griffin..i maybe feeling some biiiig upsets to teams by them next year. Not saying they are but its very possible and i don’t feel like OU, TT and UT are the same teams as they were last year

  43. Mike Said,

A Big East team CANNOT go to the Sun Bowl this year. The Gator Bowl must select a Big East/ND and the Sun has to take a Pac-10 team this year being its the last year of that 4 year gator/sun tie in deal. So Big East/ND goes to Gator, which you have, but the Sun Bowl has to take a team from the Big 12 against the Pac 10

  46. Jerry Said,

Florida has too many ball hogs with teeteebow being the biggest. They will lose 3 games minimum and not even win their division in the SEC. The top 10 teams in the country are SEC teams. Ohio ST. should be ranked out of the top 25 as always until they schedule good football teams and not high school calipur teams. USC has no defense and no quarterback, will lose half their games even though they play no one as usual.
LSU will win the SEC and the National Championship/ The SEC champion should be an automatic in the BCS Championship Game since they are by far the toughest in the country.
Charles Scott will be a Heisman candidate and will win it if LSU goes the distance.

Posted on June 3rd, 2009 at 6:32 pm

  47. Knowsall Said,

BCS title game should be Texas vs Florida. Florida’s offense will be too much for Texas to handle.
Other teams to watch out for include Penn State, North Carolina, and LSU.

This is clearly a 5th grade mentality of predictions. Quite possibly the worst on the net. Ole Miss in the Independance? Tennessee in the Peach? Florida St. in the Fiesta? Somebody should get fired on this site for posting such radical projections that aren’t even close in a poor man’s dream. I will be sure and promote this site to all of the colleges listed. EVERYBODY wants to count out sc. what people fail to realize is that our void at the linebacker position isn’t much of a void at all, our new starters are faster and more agile. our tightend squad is 1 of the deepest in the country, 1 of the top o-lines in all of the country, big/fast wide receivers including top 5 receiver in the country (Damian Willams), a quaterback who doesnt make mistakes with a future pro bowler (Matt Barkley) right behind him, a whole stable of running backs who can start any where in the nation, ncaa hall of fame HEAD COACH PISTOL PETE CARROL…..NO MORE SAID

  54. jimbeam8383 Said,

USC, Florida, Texas, Alabama, Vtech, etc. all have a recent track record of losing at least one game a year. This boils down to one simple game this year……OSU vs USC. Winner makes the national championship, at least they should. Texas should have a clear shot at it this year with only the sooners in the way. They should have beat them last year and made the national championship. The only teams that have a chance this year to win the national championship are:

    Big 12: Texas or Oklahoma
SEC: Florida (sorry no one else really has the squad this year)
Big Ten: OSU (maybe PSU, but a huge Maybe)
Pac-10: USC (Oregon has no chance: lol @ oregon homers)
    ACC: VaTech
    MtnWest: No one

My pick for the natty title…..since it is all that matters:

    Buckeyes and Longhorns

They are truly the two best teams in the country!!!!!!!!!!

Posted on June 26th, 2009 at 10:28 am

  55. Polarbear2k5 Said,

Why does everyone thing VaTech will win the ACC? They’re always overranked every season, FSU always beats them. The only reason FSU didn’t go to the ACC title game was because we had the same issues that the Big 12 did. FSU will have a 10-2 or 11-1 season losing to UF and maybe BYU. We will not lose any ACC games, UNC included.

Posted on June 30th, 2009 at 2:15 am

  56. Josh Said,

Oregon actually has a great chance. Oregon lost their head coach yes, but Chip Kelly is a way better game general then Mike Bellotti was. Mike was a better coach at everything else, but was not that great of an in game coach. Where as Chip is an amazing in game coach, so the new coach will not play a factor at all in Oregon’s game.

Yes they lost their receiving core, but in all honesty the receivers sucked last year. Jaison Williams was amazng his Sophomore year, but declined through his Junior ans Senior year giving him the nick name of Jaison “stone hands” Williams. The receivers that Oregon has now are faster and can catch, led by Jamere Holland.

The only think that is questionable about Oregon going all the way or to the top of the Pac-10 is the lines. The offensive line isn’t as bad as the defensive because Oregon always has brought in good offensive linemen, although they lost Center Max Unger they will be able to replace the starters and have a good O-line. The D-line however is the big question mark. I don’t know if they will be able to replace the talent they had last year. They aren’t very well known for recruiting good D-line men, but what they lack in D-line they have amazing talent at DB’s and fairly good LB’s.

Would I be suprised if Oregon went to the NC? No not at all, but they have alot of work ahead of them with key games against Boise St, Utah, Cal, USC, and Oregon St. The advantage is that they have most of their hard games at home (except Boise St.) and the Ducks are very good at home. So it’s very possible for Oregon to take the head of the Pac.

Minnesota in the Rose Bowl? Are they high? And why is Auburn in a bowl? They’ll be lucky to go 5-7 again…And Florida State in a BCS Bowl? No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. No. No. I disagree almost entirely with these.

  59. asdf Said,

They hove Olemiss going to the independence bowl against colorado…
Olemiss is playing probably the easiest nonconference schedule in the whole NCAA. They dont have Georgia or Florida on their schedule and they get LSU and Alabama (I think) at home. I’d be suprised if they dont get 11 wins before they’re bowl game. If they dont beat Flordia in the SEC championship game (which they can and that would make them go to the National Championship [most likely, if they're already in the top 5]) they will go to the Sugar Bowl because Florida will get taken to the National Championship game.

Posted on July 14th, 2009 at 1:50 pm

  60. asdf Said,

These are the worst prediciotns i have ever seen. At most USC will make it to the Rose Bwol and the only way they woudl have a chance of getting to the National Championship would be for the SEC, and the Big 12 to destroy themselves because as we all know Oregon is going to beast USC this year (Oregon will lose a minor game so they only get the rose bowl). People didnt see how good USC was last year because most of their games come on at around 11 or 12. Minnesota, Cal, FSU, Alabama, and Va Tech arent going to make a BCS bowl. This year there will be 2 SEC teams(Florida and Ole Miss), 2 Big 12 teams (Texas and Oklahoma), 1 Pac 10 team (Oregon), 1 Big 10 team (Penn State), 1 ACC Team (UNC, GA Tech, or Miami [like always its open in the ACC]), 1 Big East Team (Cincinatti), Notre Dame, and a non BCS team (TCU or Utah) playing in BCS bowls.

Posted on July 14th, 2009 at 2:19 pm

  61. Robert W. Said,

I agree with Josh because I grew up with him. Oregon has the best potential to make it out of the PAC-10 undefeated and also nat’l champ. Boise state is a good team, but they are not the same as last year, and they have difficulty with Oregon’s offense, but watch out for Boise next year and the year after that. About the earlier comments about Oregon’s difficulty schedule, we beat Purdue at Purdue, and Utah lost their qb and a ton of defensive talent, plus OSU should of beat them last year(bogus call). All of our tough games are at home, and plus with the bulk of them being at the beginning of the Season and their rankings high, it will only shoot Oregon to the top of the rankings.

Remember that back in 2007 Oregon beat USC at Autzen because Booty was hurt, and Sanchez replaced him. Oregon is better than that team and it’s the same situation with a new QB at home. We are returning alot of our starters from the Holiday Bowl, which was their best performance of the season!

If you actually can think logically and objectively you must realize that Oregon has great potential to make it to the nat’l championship game. I’m not saying they’ll be nat’l champs, but they can make it to that game.

Florida will probably be the other undefeated team in the nation, and that will be my prediction Florida vs. Oregon.

Posted on July 14th, 2009 at 2:25 pm

  62. Robert W. Said,

Who ever says that Ohio State his going for the nat’l champ should lose all credibility, and should be banned from this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohio State every year is media driven, and it makes me sick, because they are not good, and Texas will flop, and the Big 12 will destroy it’s self.

  63. Irishfan Said,

I honestly dont think that Oregon has a chance to win the NC, Florida will play Texas in the Championship and even though I am an Irish fan, Notre Dame will make it to a BCS game.

  64. Nick Foster Said,

ummm… what about MICHIGAN STATE???? wow… these are bogus predictions… i agree with all the BCS games tho!

Posted on July 21st, 2009 at 3:33 pm

  65. Josh Said,

Irishfan, you don’t think Oregon has a chance? Tell me why I’m very curious? They have a tough schedule, what if they fo beat Boise St? Then beat Utah and play USC undefeated, what if they even beat USC? They’ve gotten stronger, they haven’t lost any power or fuel. People think that losing our RB Jeremiah Johnson was a huge deal, it’s not really, LaGarrette Blount is about the same level as him. They have a top 5 offence, the only questionable thing is the D-line which we will find out about soon enough.

Irish have more of a chance then Oregon? I guess, since they have one of the weakest schedules I’ve seen, the only challenge they have is USC.

I would like the for panel of people (or person) that made these predictions to please do us a favor and post an apology for wasting our time on reading such poor predictions. I have forwarded this site to a lot of other reputable sites because this is so radical. I am embarassed for you staff, embarassed for your whole organization, and most importantly, I am embarassed that people like you are allowed to even be considered somwhat of an (expert) in the field. You must have the likes of Lee Corso on your staff making the predictions. All of this must clearly be a joke because I just can not see how this site can stand behind such garbage. Keep it up collegebowlprojections.com….I just can’t wait to see what you predict next.

Okay a lot of the ppl from this blog have no idea what they are talking about! Okay all the Oregon fans are on crack! Okay they may be the second best team in the PAC 10 but no chance in beating SC. Second Florida is gonna lose one game buy are gonna make it to the NC game. Texas and ou will play idk who will win the winner of that will lose to OSU. So the rest of the conference will suck so texas one loss ou one loss will not be above SC no losses so the man got it right in the NC game. And SC will win

    are u serious….
ohio state just needs to stay out of bcs games. they just ruin them. lets face the fact taht the big 10 sucks now and they havent won a bcs game for like 3 years. oregon could be good but even if they go undefeated i still think that a one loss big12 or sec team will beat them out for the NC. OSU and Boise State have legit chances to go to BCS games. WVU and Kansas (probably pit too because the big east is just a whole bunch of teams scrambling to get a lucky win and there hasnt been a powerhouse big east team for years) dont have a chance. Notre Dame just has to pull of a 9 win season to get into the BCS although i think thats some bs and they dont deserve it since they only play a couple of teams that go +.500. The most likely teams to go for NC are Texas (OU will have a 2 or 3 loss season due to their schedule difficulty), Florida (Tebow is all you need even thoguht i dont like UF), USC (freshman Matt Barkley will probably lose that chance for USC thoguh), and a suprise team that could be OSU, UM, a slight chance for Oregon (just due to the weakness of their conference), and GT (only if they emerge as a extremely dominant factor). The NC game will most likely feature SEC winner and Big 12 winner (tough luck to the ACC and PAC-10).

My personal choice (a bit biased and these results will most likely not happnen)- Ole Miss (pulls last minute win in ATL over flordia) VS. OSU (beats out Texas and OU loses 2 conference games)

The old Cotton Bowl games between these two teams were very fun to watch and with two high powered offenses (edge- OSU) featuring QBs who could be stars in the NFL. On the defensive side Ole miss takes it with their LB and DEs but their secondary could get smoked by Robinson.

Winner- Ole MIss due to their ST and D
