The Orange, Rose, Fiesta and Sugar Bowls have signed extensions through 2013 to remain the sites for the BCS bowl games. This is not a big surprise as the money has been too good for the bowl games to bow out.
The current contract was due to expire after the Rose Bowl hosts the championship in 2010 but starting in 2011 the rotation will start with the Championship game hosted by the Fiesta in Glendale.
It looks like we can forget a playoff until 2013, at least. This is when these new contracts as well as the TV contracts end.
