2012-2013 College Football Bowl Predictions

Big 12 Football

The Big 12 Conference finished the 2010 bowl season with a 3-5 record. This tied the Big Ten as the worst record amongst the BCS conferences.  The Oklahoma Sooners were the only Big 12 representative in the BCS bowl games last season.  They easily defeated a 8-5 UConn team in the Fiesta Bowl.

The Big 12 isn’t 12 teams anymore after Nebraska jumped ship to the Big Ten and Colorado made the leap to the new Pac-12 conference.  This has resulted in one division and no conference championship game.

The media has crowned the Oklahoma Sooners as the overwhelming  favorite for the upcoming season in the preseason poll and many believe they will be the top team in the nation.  They will be tested early as they go to Florida State on September 17.

The preseason poll had Texas A&M and Oklahoma State neck and neck for the second position in the Big 12.  Texas A&M might have the advantage since they host the Cowboys this year.

The most shocking news in the preseason poll was Texas at the fifth position.  Will Texas rebound from their down season last year and get back to the top of the conference?
